Emergency Support for Students

In addition to supports available at school, ongoing resources available from Alberta Education raising awareness of the Bullying are available at www.alberta.ca/bullying-prevention. The Bullying Helpline (call or text 310‑1818) provides confidential support. Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  1. 211 Alberta is a single point of contact for Albertans to access information and connections to health, social, government services and organizations, including mental health supports. The service is free and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through phone, text or chat.
  2. Kids Help Phone is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing free, confidential services for children, youth and young adults that include professional counselling by phone, and volunteer-led information and crisis support through phone, text, or chat. In September 2024, Kids Help Phone announced the launch of Resources Around Me, a free, innovative tool designed to connect young people, their families, communities, adults, and service providers to more than 40,000 trusted programs and services across Canada.
  3. Suicide Crisis Helpline (988) is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
