Leadership Announcement - Director of Learning (Secondary)
Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Marco Pacione as Director of Learning - Secondary.
Congratulations to Mr. Marco Pacione, who has accepted the position of Director of Learning for Secondary. As a secondary social studies specialist, Mr. Pacione joined CTR in1999 and served St. Paul’s Academy and The Centre for Learning@HOME as a teacher for three years and Vice Principal for 12, before moving to St. John Paul II Collegiate as Vice Principal in 2014. He completed his Master of Education degree from the University of Calgary in 2015 in Educational Research (Leading for Learning Specialization with a research focus in Collective Teacher Efficacy) and became principal of St. John Paul II Collegiate in 2018.
Mr. Pacione has served on various divisional committees and teams, including the French Team, the Faith Committee, the Liaison Committee, and the Faith Permeation Resource Committee.
Mr. Pacione shares, “I am honored and excited to begin this new role and work alongside a very strong team of CTR district leaders, and staff in all schools who spark learning across our high-performing school division. Since joining the division 24 years ago, I continue to be inspired by the high quality of teaching and learning which our division is known for, and I look forward to supporting our teaching and support staff in their work with our precious students and families across our seven communities. Leveraging my experience in Grade 7-12 curriculum, French Immersion, French as a Second Language, Off-Campus Education and Work Experience and RAP, we will continue to open doors and foster post-secondary and career pathways for our students. Christ The Redeemer Catholic Schools is a pacesetter in Catholic education within Alberta because of our strong academic results within an authentically Catholic learning environment. As teachers and support staff at CTR continue to offer their very best to the students in our care, I am eager to lead continuous improvement in the various areas I will be responsible for as Director of Learning – Secondary.”

Mr. Pacione is a passionate, faith-filled leader who has a wide breadth and depth of knowledge, he forms strong relationships, is a critical problem solver, and has passion for life-long learning.
