Leadership Announcement - École Good Shepherd School
Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Jessica Peraino as the temporary Vice-Principal of École Good Shepherd School.
Since joining Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools in 2013, Mrs. Peraino has been a valued and dedicated member of the École Good Shepherd School community. Over the past 13 years, she has taught Grades 4, 5, and 6, as well as summer high school courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics through the Centre for Learning@Home. She currently serves as a Learning Support Teacher at École Good Shepherd School.
Mrs. Peraino has served as a Team Leader since 2016, leading collaborative teams, participating in Education Council, and supporting staff in implementing effective instructional strategies to enhance student learning. She has also contributed to extracurricular programming by coaching volleyball and basketball and organizing the school Science Fair. Mrs. Peraino is a member of the Readers and Writers Workshop Team, where she helps develop and facilitate professional learning for teachers across the division in support of classroom literacy instruction. She has also supported teachers with curriculum implementation through the development of curriculum support documents aligned with Alberta’s new curriculum. Passionate about supporting both students and colleagues, Mrs. Peraino has mentored new and pre-service teachers throughout her career.
Mrs. Peraino holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario, and additional Professional Education Development coursework from Lakehead University. Most recently, she completed Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools’ Aspiring Leaders Program. Mrs. Peraino is an active member of St. James Parish, where she serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
Mrs. Peraino shares, “I am very honoured and excited for the opportunity to continue serving my school community in this new capacity as Vice Principal. I look forward to building on the work already underway and supporting students, staff, and families as we continue to grow together.”
