Christ The Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Connor MacDonald as Vice Principal for Notre Dame Collegiate.
Mr. MacDonald has been part of the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools community for many years, first as a student at Holy Spirit Academy and Notre Dame Collegiate, and now as an educator at Notre Dame Collegiate.
He graduated from Notre Dame Collegiate in 2016 before completing a Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta, majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Religious Education. Mr. MacDonald began his teaching career at Notre Dame Collegiate, where he has spent the past six years teaching a range of Mathematics and Science courses. His commitment to student success, faith formation, and collaboration has led him to serve in several leadership roles, including Math Co Department Head, Off Campus Coordinator, and interim Learning Support Coordinator and interim Vice Principal. Known for building strong, trusting relationships, Connor supports both students and colleagues while contributing to a welcoming, faith filled school community.
Building meaningful relationships in a faith-filled environment is central to Mr. MacDonald’s approach to education, and he is excited to continue this mission in a leadership role.
Mr. MacDonald shares, “Notre Dame Collegiate has played a formative role in my life, first as a student and now as an educator. I am grateful for the mentors and colleagues who have supported me along the way, and I am excited to continue serving this community as Vice Principal. I look forward to working alongside staff, students, and families to support academic growth, faith development, and a strong sense of belonging for all.”
Principal Jodi deKlerk shares, “Mr. MacDonald is a strong and respected educator whose dedication to excellent instruction and meaningful support for staff has already had a positive impact on our school community. We are grateful that he has accepted the Vice Principal role, and we look forward to the leadership he will provide as we continue our mission of helping students grow in faith and learning.”
