Our Beliefs
Christ The Redeemer Catholic Schools, under the guidance of the Bishop of the Diocese of Calgary, are rooted in the Nicene Creed and the teachings of the Catholic Church. Catholic beliefs, traditions, prayers, and values permeate all aspects of school life, inside and outside the classroom, in celebrations, and in daily practices.
Our Mission
Christ The Redeemer Catholic Schools in partnership with the family and the parish, will deliver an authentic Catholic learning experience by creating a lasting foundation of faith and knowledge for everyone in our community in a supportive, caring environment.
School Responsibilities
- Ensure Catholic Christian faith is permeated through all curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.
- Provide approved religious and family life education at every grade.
- Foster spiritual growth in classrooms, liturgies, celebrations, and Mass.
- Encourage student involvement in community service.
Parent Responsibilities
- Support Catholic faith permeation in all aspects of school life.
- Support the child's participation and success in religious education classes.
- Encourage reverent participation in prayer, liturgies, celebrations, and Mass.
- Support  the child in completing community service projects.
 Sacraments (e.g., Eucharist and Reconciliation) are only received at school by Catholic students who have first received the sacraments through the preparation programs offered by the diocese in each parish.
Student Responsibilities
- Respect the Catholic Christian faith in all areas of school life.
- Commit to success in religious education classes.
- Participate reverently in prayer, liturgies, celebrations, and Mass.
- Complete community service projects.
What You Will See in Our Schools
- Prayer practices such as the Sign of the Cross, genuflecting, kneeling, and standing.
- Prayer for the intercession of the Saints, including Marian prayer and devotions (e.g., “Hail Mary”, Rosary).
- The Bible interpreted through Catholic teaching and tradition.
- Religious artwork, sacramentals, and symbols (e.g., crucifixes, statues, images of Mary, Saints, the pope, and the bishop).
- Student-planned liturgies and Mass.
