CAREERS - High School Internships
CAREERS is a not-for-profit organization that brings together industry, schools, government and communities to guide youth into successful career paths. CAREERS works with schools to bridge the gap between industry and youth. Through CAREERS, students can apply to participate in work-integrated learning by matching them with employers for paid internships. Paid high school internships are available in the following in-demand fields: Skilled trades, Information & Communications Technology (ICT), Forestry, Agriculture, Energy, and Health. They also offer additional supports for under-represented groups through Young Women in Trades and Technologies and the Indigenous Youth Internship Program.
These paid internships are available during the school year and summer; students earn credits through supervised off-campus education programming (i.e. Work Experience, RAP).
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools has a designated CAREERS school engagement coordinator who supports all high schools in the district with career-related presentations and support with applications to CAREERS.
