Alberta High School Completion Options - There are a number of different ways to complete high school. Access the requirements for a variety of high school completion pathways. 

myPass - myPass is Alberta Education’s self-service website to access your high school information, including ordering official transcripts and viewing grade 12 diploma examination results. Contact your school’s guidance office for support with registering for myPass. 

Alberta Learning Information Service (CAREERinsite) - CAREERinsite is the Alberta Government’s free career information and planning website. Access career planning activities and occupational information as you plan for your future. 

Alberta Learning Information Service (OCCinfo) - Access occupational information from the Alberta Government, reflecting provincial labour market information. 

myBlueprint Education Planner - Contact your guidance office for your school’s activation code to set up a myBlueprint account. myBlueprint Education Planner is a career and life planning program that includes self-exploration activities and tools to map out your high school, career, and post-secondary plan. 

CAREERS - CAREERS is a not-for-profit organization that brings together industry, schools, government and communities to guide youth into successful career paths. CAREERS works with schools to bridge the gap between industry and youth. Through CAREERS, students can apply to participate in work-integrated learning by matching them with employers for paid internships

Youth Digital Gateway - This Government of Canada website offers resources, programs, and services to help build your future.

ALIS - Explore School and Program Options - This article includes some considerations for students who are evaluating which post-secondary program to attend.

Post-Secondary Comparison Chart - This chart offers some key considerations when evaluating and comparing post-secondary institutions. 

ApplyAlberta - ApplyAlberta is an online application and transcript transfer system that anyone can use to apply to undergraduate programs at one or more of Alberta’s post-secondary institutions. Students need to set up an Alberta.ca Account to access ApplyAlberta.

Education Planner BC - Apply for any of British Columbia’s 25 public post-secondary institutions. 

Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) - OUAC is a non-for-profit centralized application service for applicants to Ontario universities. 

Ontario Universities’ Information - Ontario Universities’ Info (OUInfo) is a guide to Ontario universities. It provides information about university programs, admission requirements and more. OUInfo should be used as a starting point for researching your university options.

Apprenticeship In The Skilled Trades

Apprenticeship and Industry Training (TradesSecrets) - Access information on exploring a career in the trades or starting an apprenticeship. Access information about the Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP)

Construction Safety Training Systems - Build your resume and skills by completing a free Construction Safety Training System course from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. This course is highly recommended for any students interested in off-campus education placements related to construction or trades-based sites. 

Skills Alberta - Skills Canada Alberta is a provincial non-profit organization that actively promotes careers in skilled trades and technologies to Alberta youth.

Paying For Post-Secondary

ALIS - Pay for Your Education - This article covers some key information and resources related to scholarships, bursaries, and grants. 

Alberta Student Aid - Alberta Student Aid offers student loans, grants, scholarships, and awards for Albertans pursuing full-time or part-time post-secondary studies.

Alexander Rutherford Scholarship - Students in Alberta can apply for the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship, which takes into account their grades 10, 11, and 12 grades. Review the course requirements here. 

Indigenous Bursaries Search Tool - The Indigenous bursaries search tool is a searchable list of 539 bursaries, scholarships and incentives aimed at Indigenous students across Canada.

High School Apprenticeship Scholarship - The High School Apprenticeship Scholarship program recognizes the accomplishments of Alberta high school students completing the Registered Apprenticeship Program or the Career and Technology Studies pathway.
