Congratulations to Mr. James Leidl who has accepted the position of Principal of St. Francis of Assisi Academy. After graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 2001 with a Bachelors of Education, Mr. Leidl began his teaching career in London, England with stops in Daejeon, South Korea and Humboldt, Saskatchewan. In 2004, he joined Christ the Redeemer as a teacher at Holy Trinity Academy teaching Social Studies and English Language Arts. In 2008, Mr. Leidl's journey found him taking on the role of Vice-Principal at Holy Trinity and he has served in this capacity for the past 14 years. Inspired by many of his colleagues, Mr. Leidl completed his Masters of Education in School Administration at Gonzaga University in 2011. After 18 years collectively at Holy Trinity Academy as a teacher and Administrator, Mr. Leidl is taking on the role of Principal at St. Francis of Assisi Academy. Mr. Leidl shares, “Without Holy Trinity and its history of exceptional leaders, I would not be equipped and prepared to become a Principal. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join St. Francis of Assisi and its exceptional staff, students and parent community. I am excited and eager to serve and build authentic meaningful relationships within our school. Being awarded the responsibility of continuing the tradition of excellence at St. Francis of Assisi is an honour.” Superintendent Dr. Scott Morrison shares, “Mr. Leidl is an exemplary teacher, a strong leader, and a person of virtue and integrity. Serving as a vice-principal of Holy Trinity Academy, CTR’s largest high school, for over a decade has uniquely equipped him for his new role at St. Francis of Assisi Academy.” Mr. Leidl will begin his transition to St. Francis of Assisi Academy in the spring.
