Christ the Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Ms. Lacey Dubeau as Vice Principal of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy. After graduating from the University of Windsor in 2011 with a Bachelor of Education, Lacey began her teaching career with CTR Catholic at St. John Paul II Collegiate in Okotoks. In 2012, she moved to Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Canmore where she taught as an elementary classroom teacher. In 2016, Lacey transferred to Holy Spirit Academy in High River where she has taught for the past six years in various grades. In addition to her experience as a teacher, she has assumed a variety of leadership roles, including Team Lead, Divisional Team Lead, and Indigenous Team Lead. Inspired by her mentors in CTR Catholic, Lacey completed her Master of Education at the University of Calgary in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Education Research. Lacey shares, “Although I will miss all of my amazing colleagues at Holy Spirit Academy, I am excited to continue my leadership journey in CTR Catholic and return to a school and community that has always had a piece of my heart.” The Principal of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy, Mr. Jamie Landry, shares, “We are very pleased to welcome Ms. Dubeau back to Our Lady of the Snows. Ms. Dubeau is a dynamic educator with a vast tool kit of skills in differentiated instruction, learning support, and conflict resolution and is an authentic Catholic leader.” Ms. Dubeau will begin her position in the fall of 2022.

CTR is excited to announce submissions are now being accepted to the third annual Curated. Art Collective. Curated. CTR Art Collective highlights the talent, skill and creativity of our CTR students and teachers across all of our communities from kindergarten to Grade 12. Students are asked to speak to their teacher to submit their artwork. Submissions will also be accepted online and can also be uploaded here: https://ctr.formstack.com/forms/curated_artcollective_submission_2022 The deadline to submit artwork is June 3, 2022. Original pieces must be delivered to the Catholic Education Centre in Okotoks by June 8, 2022. A selection committee will judge the pieces in each grade division for the Golden Brush Award and the honor of being on display at the Catholic Education Centre in Okotoks for one year! Questions? Christ the Redeemer (CTR) Catholic Schools is pleased to announce Mrs. Lindsay Avramovic as Vice Principal of St. Francis of Assisi Academy. After graduating from the University of Ottawa in 2011 with a Bachelor of Education, Mrs. Lindsay Avramovic began her teaching career with Christ The Redeemer at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Canmore. During that time, she served as an elementary teacher before being appointed to Vice Principal in 2017. In addition to her role as Vice Principal, she also served in the areas of Learning Support and English Language Learning. In 2019, she was appointed as the Director of Catholic Education where she has served the district in providing faith formation opportunities for students and staff, overseeing curriculum, and advocating for Catholic education. Inspired by leaders and mentors within CTR, Mrs. Avramovic pursued her Masters in Administration and Educational Leadership at the University of New Brunswick, graduating in the spring of 2021. Eager to continue her pursuit of lifelong learning, Mrs. Avramovic recently began her Doctorate in Education at Western University with a critical focus on theories of educational leadership and K-12 organizations. Mrs. Avramovic shares, “I am overjoyed for the opportunity to join the administrative team and the beautiful community of staff, students and parents at St. Francis of Assisi. I look forward to joining in their mission of fostering a community of lifelong learners, where challenges are opportunities for growth, and individual gifts and talents are valued. Most importantly, living our Catholic faith with great love –reflecting the peace and goodness of Christ to all.” Principal Mr. James Leidl shares, “Mrs. Avramovic is a passionate and devoted advocate of Catholic education. She is a servant leader with diverse experiences that will be of tremendous value to our school community. Her energy and positivity make her a perfect fit for the role of Vice Principal at St. Francis of Assisi Academy." Mrs. Avramovic will begin her transition in the spring.
