Students from St. Luke's Outreach had the opportunity to attend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel at St. James Parish in Okotoks. The best, the surest and the most effective way of establishing PEACE on the face of the earth is through the great power of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. - St. John Paul II
In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration and teach it to the faithful. It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering. - Pope Benedict XVI
Every Holy Hour we make so pleases the Heart of Jesus that it is recorded in Heaven and retold for all eternity!- St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta #IBelieveinCatholicEd ๐

Healthy Schools is CTRโs touchstone - it promotes the spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical wellness of staff and students. Our Healthy Schools focuses on both recovery from the pandemic and a return to our normal levels of excellence in all area. Universal supports are those strategies that are incorporated into the learning environment for all students. Many universal supports that enhance positive mental health can be naturally embedded in day-to-day activities and routines throughout the school day. Gratitude is a strategy with numerous benefits including improving physical health, better sleep and increased empathy! See how St. Mary's School is creating an environment of gratitude in recognizing and celebrating little holy moments throughout their day to be thankful for! #IBelieveinCatholicEd
Fr. Troy offered us a glimpse into Adoration at Holy Trinity Academy this morning! CTR Catholic is blessed with priests who provide this encounter with Christ through silent prayer in adoring the Blessed Sacrament. Division-Wide Adoration is taking place throughout the district until November 12th! #IBelieveinCatholicEd ๐๐ผ
A reminder to parents that this Thursday, Nov. 11 is Remembrance Day and there will be no classes. Classes will resume on Friday, Nov. 12.

Happy Catholic Education Sunday! As a Catholic school community, we are called to provide opportunities for students and staff to know, love and serve the Lord. People often comment that when they enter a Catholic school they feel a special presence. This does not come from the building or even the religious symbols that are an important witness to our faith. The presence comes from Christ who is proclaimed by word and example, and is evidence in the way people care for one anotherโโsee how they love one another.โ Catholic schools witness to Christ and by doing so, help to reveal Him to others. On Catholic Education Sunday โ we recognize the unique dimension that Catholic education brings to the province of Alberta and to our community, as we strive to educate the whole of a student. We are fortunate to have the gift of Catholic education that is publicly funded because it recognizes the freedom for families to choose a faith based education system. St. Thomas Aquinas, Patron Saint of Catholic Schools, pray for us ๐

Staff of the Catholic Education Centre building, along with staff and students of St. Luke's Outreach in Okotoks, were honored to have Bishop McGrattan bless the new Okotoks facility located at 23 Riverside Drive. The special event was live streamed for all staff and students followed by a procession of the Bishop, fellow priests, trustees and senior staff as the Bishop blessed each part of the new facility and school. The Bishop also blessed the crucifixes that will adorn each office and classroom space. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special day!๐
Surrounding Catholic Education Sunday in prayer, schools from across CTR Catholic will participate in Division-Wide Adoration from November 1st through to November 12th. Put simply, the act of adoration itself and the centrality of the Eucharist is essential to our Catholic faith. In creating the opportunity and space for an encounter in Adoration, we allow Christ the chance to speak to our hearts. In a world filled with so much noise, the gift of silence is a miraculous gift that we can offer to all staff and students. Calling into mind CTR Catholicโs faith theme, Jesus is the Way, the Truth & the Life, Jesus very clearly tells us in this Gospel where he comforts the disciples that he is the only way to heaven. With this in mind, our WHY for Adoration is clear: bring them to THE Way who is Christ Jesus, bring them to Christ in the silence before the Blessed Sacrament. #IBelieveinCatholicEd

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of All Souls, a time when we call into mind all those who have died and the entire Church Suffering, praying on their behalf for eternal rest. This is a particularly moving time of remembrance of those we love and have lost. It stirs a deep hope both in the act of remembering their lives and interceding for them. Let us pray for the faithful departed and the repose of all souls ๐
