It is hard to imagine that people can be discriminated against, or worse, persecuted because of their faith. Today, across the world, 327 million Christians live in a country where there is persecution of various degrees. Because of their faith, individuals have and continue to endure discrimination, arrest, incarceration, torture, and in some cases are killed. Join us in wearing red tomorrow to show solidarity with Christians who are suffering.

Aid to the Church in Need (ACN Canada) will hold its 7th annual Red Wednesday on November 17. The goal of the event is to raise awareness and to pray for persecuted Christians, who are the most discriminated against religious group in the world. We invite all staff and students to join us in wearing red this Wednesday to show their support. Lord, we pray that every being, regardless of their religion, live in peace and harmony without any kind of persecution. ๐
Today, Nov. 11 Canadians pause in silence to remember those who died from war, and to pray for the victims of aggression and inhumanity throughout the world. โโLet us pray ๐ For those who gave their lives for our country, that the Lord grant them eternal rest; โFor veterans and their families, may they continue to serve our country in civilian life and be welcomed and supported in our communities. For an end to the violence perpetrated by harsh words, deadly weapons, or cold indifference. May our homes, our nation, and countries around the world become havens of peace.
Congratulations Mrs. Paulgaard from Holy Trinity Academy who is the 2021 recipient of the ATA Science Council Outstanding Science Teacher Award. ๐

Students from St. Luke's Outreach had the opportunity to attend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel at St. James Parish in Okotoks. The best, the surest and the most effective way of establishing PEACE on the face of the earth is through the great power of Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. - St. John Paul II
In a world where there is so much noise, so much bewilderment, there is a need for silent adoration of Jesus concealed in the Host. Be assiduous in the prayer of adoration and teach it to the faithful. It is a source of comfort and light, particularly to those who are suffering. - Pope Benedict XVI
Every Holy Hour we make so pleases the Heart of Jesus that it is recorded in Heaven and retold for all eternity!- St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta #IBelieveinCatholicEd ๐

Even when they are unable to gather as an entire school to enter into prayer, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy found a way to bring students to Christ, entering into Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament via live-stream! #IBelieveinCatholicEd ๐
Healthy Schools is CTRโs touchstone - it promotes the spiritual, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical wellness of staff and students. Our Healthy Schools focuses on both recovery from the pandemic and a return to our normal levels of excellence in all area. Universal supports are those strategies that are incorporated into the learning environment for all students. Many universal supports that enhance positive mental health can be naturally embedded in day-to-day activities and routines throughout the school day. Gratitude is a strategy with numerous benefits including improving physical health, better sleep and increased empathy! See how St. Mary's School is creating an environment of gratitude in recognizing and celebrating little holy moments throughout their day to be thankful for! #IBelieveinCatholicEd
Fr. Troy offered us a glimpse into Adoration at Holy Trinity Academy this morning! CTR Catholic is blessed with priests who provide this encounter with Christ through silent prayer in adoring the Blessed Sacrament. Happy Catholic Education Sunday! As a Catholic school community, we are called to provide opportunities for students and staff to know, love and serve the Lord. People often comment that when they enter a Catholic school they feel a special presence. This does not come from the building or even the religious symbols that are an important witness to our faith. The presence comes from Christ who is proclaimed by word and example, and is evidence in the way people care for one anotherโโsee how they love one another.โ Catholic schools witness to Christ and by doing so, help to reveal Him to others. On Catholic Education Sunday โ we recognize the unique dimension that Catholic education brings to the province of Alberta and to our community, as we strive to educate the whole of a student. We are fortunate to have the gift of Catholic education that is publicly funded because it recognizes the freedom for families to choose a faith based education system. St. Thomas Aquinas, Patron Saint of Catholic Schools, pray for us ๐
