Happy Feast of All Saints! 🙏 This feast begins the month of November and orders our hearts and prayers toward a posture of giving gratitude. All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day differ a bit from our traditional Thanksgiving mindset, in that we are giving thanks for, and asking intercession from those holy witnesses that have gone before us. Today is a day to venerate all of the holy women and men who have already been canonized and the entire Church Triumphant (those in heaven). All the Saints & the Angels, pray for us!

Join us as we begin Day 1 of the Novena to St. Joseph for Catholic Education! DAY 1 - Novena to St. Joseph for Catholic Education Each day of this Novena, we will begin with the Shema, the Jewish confession of faith made up of Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and 11:13–21 and Numbers 15:37–41. Joseph would have taught and prayed this prayer with Jesus. We will draw from scripture and tradition to focus our reflection, offer a suggested prayer starter in response, and conclude with the Memorare to Saint Joseph and the Litany for St. Joseph from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
🙏🏼
In Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Marcellino D'Ambrosio, includes the vital role Joseph played in Jesus' life. He points out that Joseph served as a mentor for Jesus, a teacher for the child Jesus, making him an ideal companion as we journey to Catholic Education Sunday. Follow along with the prayers posted daily here on our Facebook page. #IBelieveInCatholicEd 🙏💙
On November 6 and 7, Catholic dioceses across the province will celebrate Catholic Education Sunday. This is a time to recognize the gift of Catholic education in our community of faith. The theme this year is ‘I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.’ (Jeremiah 30:17). In anticipation of Catholic Education Sunday, the Catholic Bishops of Alberta and Northwest Territories have written a letter to the faithful which can be found here: http://www.redeemer.ab.ca/documents/general/2021_10_20_Alberta%20Bishops%20Catholic%20Education%20Sunday%20Letter%202021.pdf

Parents! The 2021-2022 Student Information Update Form is coming to your email soon! Your school will be sending you an email with a link to your Parent Portal in our School Engage system to complete this year’s form. The form contains important information for your children including contact information, medical information and annual consent forms. New this year is a chance for parents to identify how they would like to receive school or division notifications. CTR's new mass notification system will streamline and improve our emergency communication process by using email, text, and voice rather than email alone. This system will provide parents with reliable and credible communication for parents in the event of an emergency such as a lockdown or environmental threat. It also has the ability to notify parents of bus route status changes quickly and efficiently. The accuracy of the information is important. You will receive an email for each child in CTR. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your school.
Congratulations Assumption RC on your new playground!
